It’s my first time lettering for a real comic that wasn’t my own.
I’m biased as a mutherfucker but I think she draws a seriously good cimmerian.
It’s crazy how Tokyopop stuff is blowing up all over. First with that contract everybody loved to hate and then the layoffs. Even with them publishing me I’m not allways pro TP, they got rid of some good people. My editor is still there and my book remains unaffected. November.
That’s my roughed out plan for the King city 2 cover I photoshoped into an old picture that my grandfather drew. That’s the other thing, I figured I’d throw up some of my grandfather, Bill Randalls art on this. I only met him when I was a infant child but I’ve been looking into his art alot these days. In art we’re always standing on the sholders of others. Mostly it’s just funny that my urge to draw arched backed ladies was inherited.
Maybe my grandkids will be into puns.

My mom told me that when she was a kid he used to ask her to help him come up with the joke cartoons to go on the side of the pin up girls.
